The Houthi rebels from Yemen have announced a second attack on Israel, using cruise missiles and drones, according to the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces.
The attacks targeted vital military sites in southern Israel and coincided with military operations by Iran and Hezbollah.
The Houthis have stated that they will continue to launch attacks until Israel ceases its aggression. These actions come in the context of escalating conflict in the region, and Israel has confirmed the interception of a missile originating from Yemen.
The Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, represent an armed faction that supports the Shia Muslim minority in Yemen and aligns with Iran in opposition to Israel and the West. The group was founded in the 1990s and is currently led by Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the brother of the founder Hussein al-Houthi.
