The Houthi rebels have detained 20 United Nations employees in Sanaa, including the UNICEF representative in Yemen, British Peter Hawkins, UN officials announced on Sunday.


"Five members of the national staff and 15 members of the international staff are being held in the UN complex," said Jean Alam, spokesperson for the UN resident coordinator in Yemen, to AFP.
