Naim Qassem, the leader of the Lebanese Islamist movement Hezbollah, stated on Monday that his organization rejects direct negotiations with Israel, considering that they would represent a "dangerous deviation" that could expose Lebanon to a "cycle of instability." In a statement broadcast by the Hezbollah-affiliated television station al-Manar, Qassem emphasized that the Lebanese government bears the responsibility to avoid such a "dangerous decision," with potential negative consequences for the country.

He specified that, in his opinion, the results of these negotiations are "non-existent" and have no impact on the movement, reiterating Hezbollah's commitment to continue its actions that it deems necessary for the security of Lebanon.
