The hackers interrupted the satellite broadcasts of the Iranian state television, airing images in support of the exiled crown prince, Reza Pahlavi, and urging the security forces not to direct their weapons at the people. This cyber attack occurred in the context of the violent repression of protests, resulting in at least 4,029 deaths, according to activists, who fear an increase in this number due to internet restrictions.

The pirate transmission included clips of Pahlavi and messages addressed to the army, urging them to join the people in the fight for freedom. Additionally, international tensions are rising, with reactions from the United States regarding Iran's repressive actions. This incident is not the first of its kind, following similar cyber attacks in the past.
