Google has been sued in the UK for damages of up to 6.6 billion dollars in a class action claiming it abused its dominant position in the online search market. The plaintiff, Or Brook, alleges that Google charged higher prices for ads through anti-competitive practices such as contracts with phone makers to pre-install its services. Google has dismissed the allegations, calling the lawsuit "speculative". UK antitrust regulators are investigating Google's impact on advertising markets.
