Germany will hire 11,000 additional military personnel, including 10,000 soldiers and 1,000 civilian staff, by the end of 2025. The measure, part of budget planning, will be discussed in cabinet next week and is aimed at strengthening the armed forces in the context of new NATO goals. The defense minister stressed the need for up to 60,000 additional troops to respond to threats from Russia.
