Ilia Remeslo, a former trusted agent of the Kremlin, shocked Russia with a manifesto published on Telegram, in which he announced his withdrawal of support for Vladimir Putin. He accused the Russian president of leading a "failed war" in Ukraine, which has resulted in millions of casualties and the destruction of the economy.

Remeslo, known for his attacks against critics of the regime, stated that Putin should resign and be tried as a war criminal. His change of position has sparked confusion and speculation, with some wondering if it was an orchestrated provocation by the Kremlin. Although Remeslo has received calls from security services to retract his statements, he claimed that he is not afraid of reprisals and is prepared for a trial. This outburst comes at a time of political tension in Russia, where war fatigue is becoming increasingly evident.
