Steele claimed that Epstein may have been recruited by figures of Russian organized crime as early as the 1970s, and the scandal spans decades. He also referred to the term "kompromat," which designates compromising materials, suggesting that Epstein and the Russians controlling him may have possessed such information about Trump.
