The FIFA organization has revealed that, as part of its efforts to combat hate speech, it has hidden more than 10 million abusive comments from an analysis of some 33 million posts on 15,302 accounts. The Social Network Protection Service, active since 2022, has been used at 23 tournaments and is also available for the current Club World Cup. Surveys show that female players are more frequent targets of abusive messages than male players.
