Two accidents occurred on Friday morning on the M1 motorway in Hungary, resulting in the deaths of eight people, all foreign citizens.
The first accident involved a truck and a van, resulting in one death and causing traffic congestion. Shortly after, a minibus with Moldovan license plates, carrying new passengers, collided with the stopped truck, resulting in seven victims.
The Hungarian Prime Minister, Peter Magyar, expressed condolences to the families of the victims, without specifying their nationality. The police confirmed that all the victims were men and that both the minibus and the truck involved in the first accident had Moldovan license plates.
