The Europol-coordinated operation investigated 52 organized crime groups involved in the illegal trade in medicines. The counterfeit medicines were traded on both online sales sites and the dark web. Around 400,000 packages of illegal pharmaceuticals were seized, including counterfeit medicines, doping substances and hormones.
