The European Commission has enthusiastically welcomed the expression of interest from 15 Member States to access loans through the 'Security Action for Europe' - SAFE instrument, which could mobilize up to €150 billion of investment. The interest, estimated at €127 billion for defence procurement, reflects the EU's unity and ambition in security. Commissioner Andrius Kubilius underlined the commitment to support EU countries in strengthening security. The deadline for applications is November 30, 2025.
