The European Commission is investigating non-EU e-commerce platforms like Shein and Temu for selling dangerous products. Commissioner Michael McGrath raised serious concerns after a 'shopper undercover' operation identified toxic items including banned cosmetics and dangerous toys. The EU is considering removing duty-free for parcels under €150 and creating a single customs authority to handle imports. Shein announced investments in compliance, but Temu did not comment.
