Oana Zoiu and other EU foreign ministers commemorated the massacre in Bucha

European Union foreign ministers, including Oana Ţoiu, visited Kyiv on Tuesday to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Bucha massacre, where Russian troops killed over 400 people. During the ceremony, Kaja Kallas, the head of EU diplomacy, stated that Bucha symbolizes the brutality of war and emphasized the Union's commitment to ensuring that these crimes do not go unpunished. Oana Ţoiu condemned Russia's illegal war and lit a candle in memory of the victims, stating that each unpunished atrocity fuels future aggressions. The visit takes place in a complicated context, as EU financial support for Ukraine is blocked by Hungary, and Ukrainian officials fear that the conflict in the Middle East could affect the delivery of weapons and military resources to Ukraine. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sibiha highlighted the importance of accountability for war crimes and announced that eight countries have confirmed their willingness to join a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
