The Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna, expressed gratitude towards Romania after an F-16 from the 'Carpathian Vipers' squadron shot down a Ukrainian drone that entered Estonian airspace.

Tsahkna stated that this incident demonstrates the effective functioning of NATO, emphasizing that Romanian aircraft responded quickly, highlighting the unity of allies in defending NATO territory.

"Romanian F-16s responded immediately from Šiauliai, demonstrating that Allies are united and ready to defend every inch of NATO territory.

We are grateful to Romania and all our NATO partners for their swift action and solidarity," wrote Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna on X.

He also stated that Ukraine has every right to strike Russian military targets to reduce Russia's capacity for aggression.
