Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to meet Vladimir Putin in the coming days at the Kazakhstan summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The two leaders last met in September 2023. Turkey is trying to maintain good relations with both Kiev and Moscow, offering its good offices for a negotiated exit from the conflict in Ukraine.
