The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stated that the intervention against Iran has led to a geostrategic deadlock, urging the international community to intensify efforts to put an end to this war. Turkey, involved in mediation negotiations with Pakistan and Egypt, wishes to remain outside the conflict that began on February 28.

Erdogan reaffirmed Turkey's commitment to seeking a peaceful solution to the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Istanbul on Saturday for discussions with Erdogan, and Ukrainian officials mentioned that the meetings will not only focus on drone interceptors but also on security cooperation.

The discussions will address bilateral issues, regional developments, and efforts to reach a lasting ceasefire, especially within the framework of the Istanbul process, according to statements from the Turkish presidency.
