Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, announced that he will withdraw from politics after completing his second term in 2027.
During a visit to a school in Nicosia, he stated that he will no longer engage in politics, emphasizing that the main challenge of his current term is defending his record. Macron mentioned that he entered politics out of a desire to bring changes to the country and responded to students' questions about his motivation to become president.
His terms have been marked by crises, including the "yellow vests" movement and the economic challenges generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the controversial pension reform. Additionally, the dissolution of parliament in 2024 has led to political instability, with three political blocs in the National Assembly.
