On Saturday, a German airline Condor Boeing 757 bound for Dusseldorf had to make an emergency landing in Italy because of a right-engine fire at an altitude of 460 meters. The pilots were circling the runway and decided to head for Brindisi instead of landing on the island of Corfu. The incident came just ten days after a similar accident in Spain, where an Iberia plane hit a bird and had to return to Madrid.
