Delta Airlines Flight 56, bound for Amsterdam, made an emergency landing at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport after experiencing significant turbulence. On board were 275 passengers and 13 crew members, and 25 passengers were transported to hospitals for medical care. Delta said it will work with passengers to meet their immediate needs. Severe turbulence is a frequent phenomenon, with about 5,000 incidents reported annually globally.
