Elderly man attacked by a bison in Yellowstone Park, incident filmed

A serious incident occurred on Friday in Yellowstone Park, when an elderly man was attacked by a male bison, suffering severe injuries to his hip and leg.

The man, who was camping with his grandson, was thrown into the air by the aggressive animal, which initially attacked several passersby and vehicles. Professional photographer Mike Macleod, who was filming the bison, stated that the attack changed his perception of the behavior of these animals. Although the elderly man and his grandson were about 100 meters away, the bison managed to track him down and attack the grandfather.

After the incident, rescuers were called to assist the man. Macleod emphasized that no one provoked the attack, and the bison, being in the mating season, can be more aggressive. This is not the first incident of this kind, as a 12-year-old child was injured by a bison in the same area on June 26.
