ECB vice-president Luis de Guindos said the bank will maintain its policy of cutting interest rates as inflation slows.

Guindos stressed that despite earlier concerns about high inflation, the ECB will continue to pursue a looser monetary policy given the economic slowdown. He also drew attention to the risks stemming from the weak outlook for the euro area economy and warnings about the possible effects of Donald Trump's re-election decision.
