A 4.6-magnitude earthquake has struck in Taipei, possibly an aftershock of the 7.4 quake in eastern Taiwan.

The quake came shortly after the 7.4 quake in the east of the island, which killed 13 people. Authorities had warned it could be followed by strong aftershocks. The quake was felt most strongly in the city of Hualien.
