Authorities in Latvia are investigating an incident involving a drone that exploded in Lake Dridzis, in the southeast of the country, without causing injuries. The incident was reported by local residents, and interim Prime Minister Evika Silina confirmed on platform X that she is in contact with the relevant services. The explosion occurred on Saturday morning, in the context of the resumption of attacks between Russia and Ukraine.

Reports indicate that the drone exploded upon contact with the water, and the police found its remnants. Authorities are conducting an extensive operation to inspect the area, involving the police, firefighters, and the military. Latvia is in a politically unstable situation following the resignation of Prime Minister Silina, and incidents involving Ukrainian drones have increased in intensity, affecting the country's energy infrastructure.
