On the night of October 25 to 26, 2025, Russia launched a drone attack on Kyiv, causing the death of at least three people and injuring 29, of which seven were children, according to Ukraine's Emergency Service. The explosions began at 2:35 AM, and the air defense was activated.

The Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, reported that a new apartment block was hit in the Desnianskyi district, and a 16-story building was also affected, causing a fire. The attack came shortly after a ballistic missile strike that killed two people. Russia has intensified attacks on Ukrainian cities, including energy infrastructure, and Klitschko warned that Kyiv is preparing for a difficult winter.
