Columns of smoke were observed above the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates, following a drone attack and a fire caused by debris from an intercepted drone. The incident occurred shortly after the United States attacked Kharg Island in Iran, a key point for Iranian oil exports. Following the American attack, Iranian officials warned that they could target ports in the United Arab Emirates in retaliation. Although the Fujairah press office stated that there were no casualties, some oil loading operations were suspended. The Iranian military claimed that the United States launched missiles from hidden positions in the emirate cities, while the United Arab Emirates reaffirmed that their defensive position remains unchanged. Fujairah is essential for the global economy, handling approximately 1 million barrels of oil per day. Tensions in the region have increased, and Iran has warned that it has the right to strike the sources of American missile launches. The International Energy Agency stated that the world is facing a supply crisis of oil due to these conflicts.
