Authorities in Dubai announced on Monday that they have managed to control a fire caused by a drone attack near Dubai International Airport, an incident that led to the temporary suspension of flights. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
This incident is part of a series of attacks that have affected global aviation, in the context of tensions between the USA, Israel, and Iran, which have led to the closure of most airspace in the Middle East. Since the beginning of Iranian attacks on February 28, Dubai has been affected by three similar incidents, and the attacks have specifically targeted civilian objectives, including airports and oil infrastructure. Following Monday's attack, traffic was temporarily interrupted, and the airline Emirates suspended flights to Dubai, redirecting some to Al Maktoum International Airport. Authorities have not provided details about the resumption of flights.
