According to the complaint filed by the FTC, Disney allowed the collection of data from children under 13 years old between 2020 and 2022, by incorrectly labeling YouTube videos as 'Made for Kids'. Although Disney claims to comply with privacy protection standards, the FTC informed the company in 2020 about the necessary changes. Under an agreement, Disney will implement a video labeling verification program, except in cases where YouTube will develop age verification technologies.
