Following the severe storms in Uttar Pradesh, India, casualties have been reported in several districts. According to civil official Shailesh Kumar, 15 people have died and another eight have been injured in Bhadohi district, where strong winds have uprooted trees and electric poles. In Fatehpur district, another nine people have died and 16 have been injured due to the same devastating storm. Additionally, in Budaun, five people have died in storm-related incidents, and another victim has been reported in Sonbhadra district.
Meanwhile, the number of victims has increased following the report of a new death.
The storms have caused extensive damage, including uprooting over 2,000 trees. Additionally, the rains have also affected the capital New Delhi, disrupting air traffic at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance to those affected.
