A fire broke out on Monday morning in a ten-story building in Lyon, France, causing the death of four people.

The victims, two women and two men, have not been identified by age. The fire started at 5:30 AM and was extinguished around 7:00 AM, involving a massive mobilization of resources, with 78 firefighters and 34 fire trucks, along with four emergency service teams (SAMU). Mayor Grégory Doucet praised the rapid response of the intervention teams.

An investigation is underway to determine the causes of the fire, and the municipality has opened a gymnasium to provide shelter for those affected. A security perimeter has been established around the area.
