A major fire broke out at a Medline medical equipment warehouse in Tracy, California, located about 88.5 kilometers east of San Francisco. The fire spread rapidly, also affecting a nearby FedEx unit, prompting authorities to evacuate the area due to propagation risks. Firefighters, led by Chief Randall Bradley, faced difficulties in extinguishing the fire due to the wind and issues with the self-extinguishing system. Mayor Dan Arriola confirmed that the 93,000 square foot warehouse was completely engulfed in flames, but the fire occurred in an industrial area, far from residences. Medline, an essential supplier of medical products, stated that it is working with authorities to assess the impact of the fire. Authorities are monitoring air quality and have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, noting that low water pressure complicated firefighting efforts.
