A Danish national has been arrested on suspicion of spying for Iran on suspicion of gathering information about Jewish targets in Berlin.

German prosecutors have announced the arrest of a Danish citizen, identified by the initials Ali S., on charges of spying for Iran. He is suspected of photographing Jewish property in Berlin in preparation for possible attacks. He was allegedly acting on orders from Iranian intelligence. Arrested in Denmark, he will be extradited to Germany to stand trial. Germany is on alert because of threats to the Jewish community amid tensions in the Middle East.
