Dana Eden, 52 years old, the creator and producer of the Israeli spy series 'Tehran', died suddenly on Sunday in Athens, during the filming of the fourth season. Eden was found dead in a hotel by her brother, who began searching for her after she stopped responding to messages. The local police have initiated an autopsy to determine the cause of death and have started to collect evidence.
Kan, the public broadcasting corporation in Israel, paid tribute to Eden, highlighting her impact on the Israeli television industry. The series 'Tehran' gained international popularity, and Eden was one of its three creators. The production company stated that there is no evidence of criminal involvement in her death, dismissing rumors on social media. Eden traveled to Greece to oversee the filming, considering the visual similarities between Athens and Tehran. She collaborated with Shula Spiegel, the producer with whom she worked on over 40 television projects.
