In the context of an energy blockade imposed by Washington, Cuba is facing a new massive power outage in the east of the country. The Minister of Energy announced that the country is out of electricity and diesel, and the main power plant has suffered a breakdown. Following repeated power outages, residents of Havana and other areas protested, expressing their frustration. The electricity company reported a partial disconnection of the grid, affecting seven provinces.

The Cuban government, faced with a profound energy crisis, stated that it is willing to consider a financial aid offer from Washington, which could reach 100 million dollars, conditioned on distribution through the Catholic Church. Havana accuses the United States of responsibility in the energy crisis, while American officials emphasize internal economic management issues.
