On Saturday, the Texas state Capitol and areas around Austin were evacuated because of a "credible threat" to lawmakers, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. The protest, titled 'No Kings,' was planned to take place at the Congressional Building. The authorities' alert comes amid a tragic incident in Minnesota, where a gunman killed a Democratic lawmaker and her husband, injuring other politicians.
