On Wednesday, around 03:00 (00:00 GMT), two Turkish commercial vessels collided in the Sea of Marmara, 18 nautical miles south of Silivri, according to an announcement from the Istanbul governor's office. Coast guard ships and helicopters were dispatched to the scene for search and rescue operations.
According to official information, the tanker Alsu did not suffer visible damage, however, authorities have been unable to establish contact with the crew of the other vessel, Tugberk Imamoglu, which has 10 members on board. Currently, it is impossible to contact the ship, and information about its cargo has not been specified.
