The FAO report highlights that 14 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean are considered vulnerable to undernourishment due to extreme weather events. Regions in southern Mexico and some Central American countries are exposed to prolonged droughts, heat waves and storms, which affect agricultural production and can lead to higher food prices.
