Chinese ships, including a submarine, entered the port of Vladivostok, where sailors were greeted with national flags and local traditions. The exercises, dubbed 'Joint Sea-2025', are billed as defensive in nature and not directed against other countries. This military cooperation between Russia and China comes amid perceptions of growing US dominance on the world stage. The exercises precede Vladimir Putin's visit to China, scheduled for the end of August.
