Recently, the Chinese press announced that a group of H-6K bombers conducted confrontation exercises near Taiwan. These military activities were communicated through the national television's Weibo account, without providing precise details. During the exercises, J-10 fighter jets flew in formation, while the H-6K bombers, capable of carrying nuclear weapons, headed towards the waters and airspace around Taiwan. The announcement comes a few days before the meeting between Presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump, which will take place in South Korea, where topics such as the trade war between the two countries will be discussed. Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, stated that Taiwan should not be concerned following this meeting, emphasizing the unofficial support that the United States provides to the island, considered by China a renegade province.
