The clues that show China is preparing for a submarine war with the USA

China is conducting a large-scale mapping and underwater monitoring operation in the Pacific, Indian, and Arctic Oceans, gathering detailed information about marine conditions that, according to naval experts, would be essential for conducting a submarine war against the United States and its allies, reports Reuters.

The research vessel Dong Fang Hong 3, operated by the Ocean University of China, has navigated near Taiwan and the American base in Guam, conducting sediment studies and climate research, as well as extensive mapping of the ocean depths.

The data shows that China is focusing on areas of military importance, such as the waters around the Philippines, Guam, and Hawaii, but also on routes in the Indian Ocean, essential for its trade and energy imports.

This activity is part of a broader operation involving dozens of ships and hundreds of sensors, which gather information about underwater conditions.

Experts in naval warfare emphasize that this data is crucial for the effectiveness of Chinese submarines and for hunting those of adversaries.

Although some research has civilian purposes, the integration of civilian and military technologies is a priority for the Chinese government, according to the 'civil-military fusion' concept promoted by President Xi Jinping.
