China has firmly condemned the American-Israeli attacks on Iran, but analysts suggest that Beijing will not risk a confrontation with Washington, considering its dependence on oil imports from the region, including from Iran.

The war in the Middle East and the blockade of the Hormuz Strait raise concerns about China's energy supply, which satisfies a large part of its demand from this area. Although China has sufficient strategic reserves to cope in the short term, Beijing will pursue its diplomatic objectives without engaging militarily in the conflict. China has recently increased its diplomatic presence in the Middle East, facilitating agreements between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Beijing relies on the Middle East for 57% of its oil imports, which gives it a direct interest in maintaining stability in the region.

China's condemnations of the attacks on Iran are more rhetorical, considering that an escalation of the conflict could affect the energy flows essential for its economy.

Analysts suggest that Russia could benefit from the situation, providing supply alternatives for China and India in the event of disruptions.
