The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, presented measures to improve the services of CFR Călători, following 1,725 complaints received from passengers. Each of the 1,265 trains will have a responsible director to facilitate the resolution of issues. Following the checks, 56 disciplinary investigations were opened, and 39 employees were sanctioned. The most frequently reported problems include lack of air conditioning, delays, and poor cleanliness. The Ministry of Transport will modify the software of the air conditioning systems and will extend the ventilation ductwork to remedy the deficiencies. Passengers will be able to continue submitting complaints online, and CFR Călători will introduce a form for compensation in the case of international delays.
