BYD, a Chinese manufacturer of electric vehicles, is considering opening a factory in Spain, preferred due to lower manufacturing costs and clean energy. This would complement existing plans for factories in Hungary and Turkey, thus strengthening Spain's goals of becoming a hub for electric vehicle production. Although the final decision has not been communicated, BYD's sales in Europe have increased significantly, and the company aims to produce all electric vehicles for the local European market.
