The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD Co. is under pressure, with shares significantly declining, resulting in losses of 45 billion dollars. The strategy of attracting customers through price reductions has been criticized, affecting revenues and profitability, with a profit decrease of 30% in the second quarter. Despite internal challenges, BYD has good international performance, with sales estimated at 900,000 – 1 million units by 2025. Future launches will be essential to improve investor perception.
