Velingrad, known as the "spa capital of the Balkans," offers beneficial mineral waters for various ailments, while Sandanski, with its 80 mineral springs, is renowned for its effects on the musculoskeletal system. Bulgaria attracts visitors from new markets due to its rich cultural offerings, and the Ministry of Tourism has declared 2026 as the "Year of Cultural Tourism," promoting health, gastronomic, and mountain tourism.
