Turner was appointed as NATO takes over the coordination of military aid to Ukraine. He will act as NATO's "focal point" for interaction with the Ukrainian authorities in Kiev. His appointment comes after a summit of NATO leaders in Washington, where a plan was adopted for the alliance to take over coordination of military aid to Ukraine.
