Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was discharged from a hospital on Friday and transferred to his home, where he will spend at least three months under 'humanitarian house arrest.' Bolsonaro, at the age of 71, is serving a 27-year prison sentence for plotting a coup after losing the 2022 elections. Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes allowed the house arrest for medical reasons, and the former president will be reevaluated after 90 days. Recently, Bolsonaro was hospitalized in intensive care with an acute form of pneumonia, but his condition has been favorable. He also has a shoulder surgery scheduled for the end of April. His doctor confirmed that his health condition has not presented complications.
