Brazilian federal police revealed Wednesday that they found a document in Bolsonaro's cell phone in which he requested political asylum from Argentine President Javier Milei. The document was saved in February 2024, shortly after the former president's passport was seized as part of an investigation into his involvement in an alleged coup attempt. It is currently unclear whether the asylum application has been submitted.
