Three people were injured in a stabbing attack in Antwerp, Belgium, at a demonstration in support of the Kurds from Syria. Two of the victims are in serious condition.

The attack took place in front of the Opera in the city, where protesters, including families and children, were present. A group of men infiltrated among the participants and began to stab people without warning, according to statements from the council of Kurdish communities in Belgium, NavBel. Of the six victims, two are in critical condition. The police have opened an investigation for attempted murder and are examining the number of attackers, reviewing footage from surveillance cameras. Another demonstration scheduled for Friday has been canceled in respect for the victims and to maintain calm.
