The death of Alex Pretti has intensified the already existing tensions in Minneapolis, where protests against the actions of immigration police have increased. Bill Clinton accused the Trump administration of lies related to these incidents, while Barack Obama called for a response from citizens. Trump blamed the Democrats for the chaos in the city, and his administration accused Pretti of "terrorism."

Despite these accusations, video evidence suggests that Pretti did not pose a threat. His parents condemned the administration for spreading "disgusting lies." Protests continue, and local leaders are calling for an independent investigation.
